Know someone who is disengaged
from high school and needs help?
Your feedback can assist us to open a much-needed
Charter School in Calgary
By completing a short (5 min) survey you will help us to gain support in offering solutions for disengaged young people to re-engage with their education. With enough parental support and feedback, we can apply to the Minister of Education to open a BUSY School in Calgary.
The BUSY School has a network of campuses across Australia and New Zealand where it has assisted thousands of young people to complete high school and move onto further study or career pathways. Without The BUSY School, these young people were likely to fall through the cracks, disengaged from education and lacking direction for their future. We can support young people in Calgary too, to complete their education and thrive in their future career paths.

What does disengagement
look like?
The definition of ‘disengagement’ refers to any student who has fallen behind in their education, is attending school but not participating or engaging, is not attending school (or is only attending sporadically) and has dropped out or is at risk of dropping out from their education.
There are many reasons why young people disengage from education including:
- mental health,
- personal and home challenges,
- bullying,
- learning difficulties,
- language barriers, and
- socio-economic factors.
