You do not need to have everything figured out before you contact us. You can walk in, call or reach out online, and we’ll help you work out the next step.

Our services are open to job seekers in the Welland and St. Catharines area, including people who may need extra support to move into work.
We can help if you are:
- Receiving Ontario Works, ODSP or EI
- Living with disability
- New to Canada
- Indigenous
- A young person looking for extra guidance
- Returning to work after time away
- Facing barriers because of long-term unemployment

If you’re not sure whether we’re the right service for you, that’s okay. Get in touch and we’ll help you understand your options.
Support for people receiving Ontario Works, ODSP or EI
If you’re receiving benefits, finding work can come with extra questions.
You might be wondering what kind of job is realistic, how work may affect your benefits, whether you need training first or how to explain time away from work to an employer.
You do not have to work through those questions alone.
Our team can help you understand your options, prepare for work at the right pace and connect with opportunities that suit your circumstances, skills and goals.
Power of Possible
Power of Possible is a strengths-based program that helps people recognise what they are capable of and how those strengths can support their next step into work.
Delivered alongside our case-managed employment services, Power of Possible is designed to build confidence, motivation and momentum, particularly for job seekers receiving Ontario Works.
One-on-one employment support
If you need more personalized help, you may be matched with a BUSY team member. They can work with you to build a plan, prepare for work, connect with training, apply for jobs and stay on track once you start working.
Support can continue for up to 12 months after you begin employment, helping you settle in and keep moving forward.
You stay in control of the process. We’ll work with you, not around you.
What we can help with
Our team can support you with:
- Understanding what kind of work may suit your skills and goals
- Writing or updating your resume
- Preparing for interviews
- Finding training, short courses or skills programs
- Connecting with employers who are hiring
- Accessing support for work-related costs, such as transportation, equipment or clothing
- Building confidence before starting work
- Job coaching once you’re employed
- Ongoing check-ins for up to 12 months after you start work
How it works
A simple conversation, whether in person, over the phone, or online, is all it takes.
We’ll talk about the kind of work you’re looking for, the experience you already have, and what might be getting in the way. From there, we’ll work together to figure out what kind of support makes sense for you.
